IRID WEBMASTER

Joe Zenkus

Ok so a little about me... I've been on computers since I was probably 8.  My career, believe it or not, isn't even in web design.  Honestly, I've dabbled in it since I started surfing the web back in 92'.  I use HTML code for ebay auctions for the most part.  For a while I maintained a blog site about my brother, where I would constantly mess around with free code that I could embed into my pages.

One thing I've always believed in is using open source "Free" software for editing.  I started out on frontpage like most people do, but I actually found that for a commercial program it wasn't so simple, particularly with keeping links straight, so I eventually started using netscape's composer (which is in fact what I'm still using to make my pages even today).  This type of HTML also tends to be a little more compatible with browsers, whereas frontpage tends to just concentrate with working on IE, which a lot of people don't use anymore (I prefer mozilla).  You'll notice that if you shrink your browser, that all the text tends to shrink with it, making it more compatible with various desktop sizes.  I also try to keep things to a minimum, by putting as much information in a defined space, while keeping it organized so you aren't scrolling down pages of text.
